Congratulations to all the mums! Today is Mother’s Day and, from Raz SurfCamp, we want to celebrate it by paying them a tribute.
As you know, all kinds of people pass through our surf school, from many different places and also with different ages! And, in our big family, we can find a lot of surfing mums who love everything.
Also, in the surfing world, there are many surfers who have been mums and they teach us a series of very important lessons:
If you want to, you can. There is nothing stopping us from surfing, no excuses!
As Bethany Hamilton, the coolest mum in the world, proved when she was pregnant.
But if you don’t know how to surf… it’s best to let your pregnancy go and start another time.
LESSONS WE LEARNT FROM SURFING MUMS
Spread the good vibes. They know how to spread the passion for surfing, a passion that moves mountains!
The son or daughter of a surfer mum has a lot of points to end up being crazy about surfing, he or she enjoys it from a very young age!
We have the example of Daize Shane Goodwincuya, whose image with her baby Given has become a point of reference.
Together we are stronger and much happier!
Surfing mums know that finding a small family with the same passions is a great idea to spend great moments with the family. Take trips and excursions, and even organise a trip to Razo!
Pursue your dreams. Of course being a mum is hard, they are always there for us!
But even so, many surfing mums have time to chase their dreams and make it to the top – sound familiar to Marge Calhoun? Having two daughters didn’t stop her from being considered the first world surfing champion, nor from being the founder of the US International Surfing Association. A cracker!
Is your mum a surfer?
If not, this summer we can convert her to the surfer side if you come to spend a week of intense surfing lessons at Raz Surf Camp 🙂
